PRI Consulting ServicesAs a PRC therapist and Faculty member of the Postural Restoration Insitute, Jen offers consulting services and shadowing opportunities for clinicians. Jen began the integration of PRI into her clinical practice in 1998. At that time, she was growing frustrated with a lack of outcomes and whole body approach to Physical Therapy. She began to look at alternative career paths, but all roads pointed her back to Physical Therapy.
Jen took her first PRI course called Postural Restoration taught by Ron Hruska, founder of the Postural Restoration Institute. At the time he taught the course, there was no Institute even established yet! After that first course, Jen was hooked and has been a student of the Science ever since. She was invited by Ron to join his Faculty in 2010, and travels the country teaching two courses Myokinematics of the Hip and Pelvis and Pelvis Restoration. The Institute itself has grown to offer 3 Introductory Courses and multiple advanced applications of the science including Interdisciplinary Management with Podiatrists, Dentists and Optometrists. Chris Poulin, ATC, CSCS, PES, PRT began his study of PRI in 2004. Chris integrates PRI concepts into the care and prevention of athletic injuries in a variety of settings. Chris is an ATC and treats active patients one-on-one with PRI concepts as the foundation of his clinical practice. He also integrates PRI into group trainings, personal training and our BACKtoGOLF sports performance programs. Chris earned his certification in PRI in January 2012. Some of the topics that Chris has presented on are "how to minimize ACL injury risk", "how to integrate PRI in traditional strength and conditioning environments", "How to minimize shoulder injuries in baseball players" Poulin Performance is the only PRC/PRT clinic in the Country! Patient Consulting Services
Do you have a patient that you have tried multiple PRI exercises with and are having trouble advancing their programs towards a successful outcome? Do you have limited experience evaluating with PRI and determining what to do next and why? Do you just need another set of experienced eyes evaluating your patient? Do you wonder what have I missed?
If you answered "YES!" to any of these questions, it may be time to bring your patient to Jen for an evaluation. Jen will bill your patients insurance for her time and treatment and there is no cost to you for this consulting service. If you are a local therapist, you can co-treat with Jen and when you both feel ready to move on, you can then take back over your patients plan of care.
If you are traveling from out of state and we are not a participating provider in your patients insurance company, we can discuss a private pay arrangement and length of time per appointment.

To Lori T. and Jen P.
Hello ladies, I'm Eric Erickson and I attended the Pelvis Restoration
course recently in Wilmette, IL. I was the strength training, patho
PEC, that was having signifcant hypertonicity from my right thorax all
the way to my foot. After applying the Wall short seated reach,
standing un-resisted wall reach and a little 90-90 Hip lift (all about
1-3 times per day), I felt my tightness melt away within 3-4 days!
Writting this 3 weeks after the course, everything still feels great! I
finally have my right hip extension and IR back and my squatting under
load has really improved! Before I took courses and found some
temporary relief, but I never knew what I needed to do to keep the
gains. Now I feel in control of the dysfunction I have/had and will
continue to utilize what I learned to improve my training and my
Thank you so much for your help (especially Jen who took a long time to
explain what I had going on)!
Eric Erickson, PTA, CSCS
First of all, thank you so much for your generosity. You explained so
much and answered so many questions! It was just wonderful to spend the
day with you. As you have experienced first hand, it can been so
frustrating to figure this out on one's own. The process is so
fascinating, but a day with you was like months in the clinic. I have
been having fun trying out the cervical techniques and finding pelvis
tests changing purely as a result! I am more devoted to re measuring and
thinking through my choices for non-manual techniques more clearly. Of
course, this will only lead to MORE questions!! Thank you also for
offering to support me through the certification process. I am very
excited about this process. I truly savor the understanding that I have
gained through studying PRI.
Thanks again so very much,
I enjoyed your part of the Pelvis course in MN. I thought your presentation style was very good. The clarity and pace of your sentences helped my ability to take in the information and follow the book and take notes when needed.
I amazed at how all of you can keep the ER’s and IR’s straight when you are covering such complex material! I am challenged thinking it, much less saying it!
Good luck with your future classes.
